"Nothing you do for children is ever wasted. They seem not to notice us, hovering, averting our eyes, and they seldom offer thanks, but what we do for them is never wasted."

Bitter are the tears of a child: Sweeten them.

Deep are the thoughts of a child: Quiet them.

Sharp is the grief of a child: Take it from him.

Soft is the heart of a child: Do not harden it.

Doctor, Doctor

This is the kind of emergency surgery I can handle....Spiderman takes a serious fall and is rushed to the ER. Conor listens to his heart while Kaitlin prepares to take his temperature. Conor turns to me and says: "Dr. Jenna, hurry! or he's not gonna make it!" I quickly assist him...handing him the tools he needs in order to complete the surgery. Conor made sure to be in the right clothes (finding a big hoodie in my closet to use as his 'white coat') It was an intense surgery, but after giving spiderman all the necessary treatment, and giving him some medicine, we covered him with a blanket, and we knew everything would be ok. Spiderman made a quick recovery and seems to being doing fine....especially since he was up and playing with us again nearly 5 minutes after surgery...it's amazing what a few plastic medical tools, caring doctors, and some medicine can do for a super hero...he'll be back on the streets saving the world from evil villans in no time.

  2. Aw Jenna, you're still doing it. You're still in your all black clothes and playing away. I'm jealous.
